We were delighted to welcome Aubrey Bowles and his daughter to the August meeting. He was staying in the area and arranged his activities on his visit to the UK to make sure he was able to join us. He has now returned home and has reported back to his local society as you can read in the newsletter he has produced. (September 2019 – MPS NEWSLETTER)

I thoroughly enjoyed attending your meeting and thank you for your hospitality.
Driving my me and my daughter to and from the meeting was also appreciated and we are only sorry that there was not enough time for us to enjoy a pint with your members afterwards!
I am attaching a copy of our ‘short version’ of the Maritzburg Philatelic Society newsletter – it is usually 4 pages but, having just returned to South Africa after a long absence did not leave much time to “harvest” much news!
I have spoken to our Club President, Dave Wyllie, who is happy to twin with your Society. This will enable us to share ideas and, hopefully, promote the hobby! Please let me know if you agree so that we can formally propose this idea at our next meeting
